The brief
Zebra Technologies manufactures and sells marking, tracking and printing technologies such as thermal barcode label and receipt printers, RFID smart label printers/encoders, and card and kiosk printers.
With an aggressive growth strategy in place, Zebra Technologies Australia needed new offices in Melbourne, separate from Motorola, which the company had recently acquired. The company decided to vacate their former premises at Burwood East to a more centrally located office.
Approach
We helped Zebra identify space in Glen Waverley, and provided project management services and managing contracting services to create a front-of-house showcase area with strong corporate branding where customers can view and test their products.
The project team has also participated in the negotiations with the landlord. As a result works to the total of $80K were carried out on behalf of the landlord.
There was no goods lift in the new building. One of the glass panels on building’s façade was removed to facilitate materials delivery.
Result
We helped Zebra find and transform an existing office into an innovative space incorporating offices and a front-of-house showroom where customers are inspired by the latest and greatest products. Their new offices are future proofed for growth and reflect Zebra Technologies’ culture of innovation.
